Personal Experience
Dina Sokhn Hijazi is the founder of Sokhn Law and a dedicated advocate for individuals and families navigating the U.S. immigration system. As the daughter of immigrants, Dina understands firsthand the life-changing impact of immigration and the trust her clients place in her during some of their most important moments.
Since establishing Sokhn Law in 2005, Dina has helped hundreds of clients across the San Francisco Bay Area achieve stability, opportunity, and peace of mind. She is known for combining deep legal knowledge with a compassionate, client-centered approach—taking the time to truly understand each client’s story and goals.
Dina earned her Juris Doctor from Golden Gate University School of Law and graduated magna cum laude from the University of San Francisco with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a minor in Religious Studies. She is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of California, multiple U.S. District Courts, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
Before founding her firm, Dina worked at a Bay Area immigration practice where she not only represented immigration clients but also managed a full criminal defense caseload and led the firm’s federal appellate work—experience that continues to inform her strategic and comprehensive approach to complex cases.
An active member of the legal community, Dina has contributed her time to numerous pro bono efforts and professional organizations. She has been involved with the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), including serving as a liaison to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and helping coordinate statewide conferences.
Above all, Dina is known as a trusted ally and fierce advocate. She brings both professionalism and heart to her work—ensuring her clients feel supported, informed, and empowered every step of the way.
